Who I am
My siblings might tell you I’m the vision behind Rost Real Estate, but they also might joke that the vision’s seen through rose-tinted glasses. Because while I pride myself on the exacting execution of home buying and selling processes, I’m a true romantic at heart. That’s why expert achievement is so important to me – because when the only thing left to do is hand over house keys, I want the moment captured like a favorite family photograph in your mind. I’m talking happy dances in the foyer and clapping in the kitchen. When you trust your agent has done everything in their power to best serve you, there’s nothing but joy.
And joy’s the end game for me, too. My husband says I’m most happy when matching a client to their dream home. That that happiness must have a contagious effect because I have a habit of turning clients into friends (you’ll see). There’s nothing like improving another’s life, and when we’re talking about homeownership, changing lives is exactly that.
This is probably why our broker calls me the “Energizer Bunny.” With experience in over 400 property transactions, I’ve not only helped new friends improve their prospects, but I’ve earned industry recognition for this work as well. With a wealth of experience in new home builds, I’m able to provide comprehensive support when it comes to reading blueprints, the construction process and communicating with builders.
My mission is to offer authentic representation. At Rost Real Estate, we do things differently because we’re your neighbours, and neighbours take care of one another.

Who I am
Service has always been a major theme in my life. So much so that in 2009 I became a Firefighter Paramedic with Strathcona County, a role I continue to balance with my realty work – four days on / four days off.
The thought of your Realtor moonlighting as a Firefighter Paramedic might seem a little strange. I can see that, but I also know my ability to work under extreme pressure, place client care at first priority, and to negotiate as though life depends on it, gives me an advantage other realtors simply don’t have. I appreciate the people who make up my community, and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure the folks I represent are protected.
But Emergency Services isn’t the only experience I draw from to find success in Real Estate. Before becoming a REALTOR®, I repaired homes as a private contractor. Years of renovations gave me a comprehensive understanding of current building codes, construction standards, permit legislation, and zoning bylaws – not to mention an eye for workmanship. I also forged professional relationships with vendors I continue to bring aboard to meet Rost Real Estate’s home repair, staging, and inspection needs, and I’m grateful to have formed networks within local business communities.
My beautiful wife, Leah, and I live with our children in one of the first houses ever built in Sherwood Park – a property we restored to meet our growing family’s needs while raising our kids within its historic walls. There’s another lesson learned: if we can tackle a job that big to secure our dream home, there’s no doubt of my ability to make yours a reality, too.

Who I am
My journey in Real Estate began in the Warranty and Service Department for an Edmonton Home Builder. As Department Coordinator, I gained extensive insight into both construction and cosmetic deficiencies, and how to resolve them. I followed my eye for detail, quality, and style into Interior Design, where I earned formal certification and went on to work for a custom cabinetry company, achieving one of the single highest sales records for a private residence to date.
I believe life is our best teacher and that a person grows most during new experiences. So, in my earlier life, I lived in Italy as an au pair, hiked the Cotopaxi Volcano in Equador, white water rafted the Amazon, and spent my honeymoon backpacking through European hostels. It is that same curiousity that energizes my work as a realtor: each family is traveling home, and I am blessed to share in the adventure.
The skills that I’ve acquired – attention to detail, negotiation, emphatic listening, and exemplary customer service – are a perfect fit for Real Estate. Nothing is overlooked while I assist clients, ensuring the most advantageous outcome in all regards.
My siblings and I were raised to value community and find ways to add to the wellbeing of others. Whenever possible, I lend my eye for construction through volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, and in my personal life, there is nothing I enjoy more than remodeling the Fort Saskatchewan home I share with my husband – except for taking breaks to explore the nearby dog park with our bichon Rolo, or working on my latest Pinterest inspired DIY project.
Let’s make a plan to connect, I’d love for you to tell me all about your next move.

Our Story
The Rost Real Estate story begins way back in the early nineties. You see, we are fortunate to belong to an incredible, supportive family, and to have parents and grandparents who mentored us on what it meant to belong to a community, to work hard, and to make the world around us a better place by helping others. One of the brightest guiding lights in Rost Real Estate’s journey was our mom, Trudy Rost.
As a busy mother of three, Trudy was no stranger to hard work or a job well done. With the support of her husband – our father – and her own parents who offered regular babysitting service, Trudy was the first Rost to enter the Real Estate Business. Throughout the course of Trudy’s career, she worked with four different home builders, first beginning as an assistant at a showhome sales center, eventually becoming an area manager, and concluding her career as an assistant sales and marketing manager at the main office, a role in which she trained sales staff, reviewed home sale deals for accuracy and even designed a model home: “The Kristana”. You may think by the name she had a favorite child…but the truth is the name was chosen for it’s meaning which is “Serene Refuge”. Which is truly what we believe everyone’s home should be to them.
Popping in to show home sales centers was a pretty usual part of our childhood as we dropped by to bring mom lunch or dinner – sometimes even stopping to play hide and seek in the empty homes (if there were no clients inside, of course!). When areas held grand openings, we’d spend the day touring all the houses in the parade of homes and have fun in the festivities organized by the land developer: face-painting, portrait caricatures, petting zoos, and lots of food to snack on. It’s probably safe to say these occasions made quite an impression on us!
In our adult years, it was Kristyn who first showed interest in real estate. A homeowner and landlord at only 21 years of age thanks to her incredible work ethic and investment insight, Kristyn began her career working at three different home builders, including North America’s largest home builder, and a company specializing in family custom homes. As her experience in the industry grew, so did her dedication and her reputation for excellence. Clients couldn’t say enough great things about their experience working with Kristyn, and the Rost siblings started to notice overlap in their professional lives. Brendan’s skills in home remodeling proved helpful as clients sought assistance in bringing their homes to market, and Melissa’s insight into interior design made home staging incredibly effective.
It wasn’t long before the idea of Rost Real Estate was conceived: all three siblings combining their education, training, and unique industry experiences to best serve clients within their communities. Mirroring the support her own parents had extended to her during early career stages, Trudy generously came aboard behind the scenes to serve as Administrative Director.
The fact that we all had such fond memories of our mother’s big career moments? Well, that just made the decision to become REALTORS® feel like we were coming home.
