It’s not every family that gets to work together doing something they are passionate about, but we do!

We Rost kids grew up in a brand new subdivision on the southside of Edmonton. It was a friendly neighbourhood where welcoming each family as they moved in to their new home was a regular part of the community happenings. As curious children, we enjoyed watching the homes go up in stages, from basements, to main floors, to roofs and finishing touches. Most of the time we looked on from a safe distance, but sometimes, when the adults were not paying close attention, we were perhaps a little too curious. As homes were completed we would begin to eagerly anticipate the moving day, since the prospect of a new family moving into the area often meant there were going to be more friends to add to our number of playmates. When the day finally arrived, before the engines were turned off and the cars parked, we would be standing as close as possible watching to see who was going to be our new neighbours. If there happened to be kids in the group, we would run home to inform our parents and bug them to come out to greet the newcomers and make introductions.
We just couldn’t wait to meet the kids, make new friends, and begin new adventures. Inclusivity was the foundation of the neighborhood, we knew most every family on our block and in the cul-de-sac, car pooled or rode bikes to school with the neighbor kids, enjoyed yearly block parties, Christmas get-togethers, and even celebrated milestone birthdays with one another. As adults, it’s understandable that our enjoyment in meeting new people has factored greatly into our career choices to become realtors.
Though each of us has since moved on from our childhood home, we have not left behind the desire for there to be a sense of belonging in the communities in which we now live and work. So, we do our best to personally connect with those who live in our communities, and enjoy creating opportunities for others to connect as well.
We look forward to one day meeting you, and having the opportunity to help you discover a community where you can connect with your neighbours, make new friends, and begin new adventures too.
Sincerely,
The Rosts
