It’s officially the last Long Weekend of the Summer! Many kiddos have already started back to school, and somehow, as we’ve grown older in years, the summer holidays seem to have grown so much shorter. The once “Endless days of Summer” where water fights, chasing the ice cream truck, and visiting grandparents on the farm were the norm. Have been replaced with driving kids to and from summer dance and baseball day-camps, never ending home maintenance and DIY projects, yard work, and of course busy work schedules (for which we are very grateful!). As we have entered the month of September, we, like many of you, are wondering where on earth the summer days have gone? You don’t have to look hard to see the early signs of fall, as trees are beginning to display leaves in red, yellow, and orange hues, and there’s definitely a slight chill to the morning air.
With school agendas and extracurricular activities just beginning, this Labour Day long weekend is a great opportunity for many folks to take a break before their busy fall schedules are in full swing.
For us, as a family of real estate agents, our business schedules usually include working most holiday weekends. So, we prioritize setting aside time in our schedules during the week to visit with friends or take part in an activity we enjoy. We also do our best to join with our families, parents and grandpa most every Sunday evening for family dinner. We’ve discovered these smaller breaks are essential to achieving a positive home-life-work balance, and maintaining a healthy energy level. By choosing to set aside time to refresh during the week, we are fully prepared to work hard during the holiday weekends for our clients as we assist them to fulfill their home journey needs.
Whatever you’re able to prioritize this September Long Weekend, we hope you get the opportunity to fully enjoy what looks to be a lovely warm Labour Day. Have a great one!
Sincerely,
The Rosts
