For some people, Autumn is a time when life begins to slow down. The outdoor plants are fading, grass has slowed it’s growth, and in general, there is just simply less outdoor work to do. Some families begin to think of cozy sweaters, apple cider, and reading a book by the fireplace. For others, with kids returning to school, additional extra cirricular activities and summer vacation over, work schedules, timetables and calendars are a must to keep every detail organized. These folks thoughts turn to early mornings of fresh powder, wax coatings, and thermal underwear.
The pace is also different when you enter into the current “Balanced”Real Estate Market, depending on whether you are the Buyer or the Seller.
As a buyer, you will discover that the pace of purchasing a property has slowed somewhat. With more properties on the market, there’s more showing options available to view them, and more time to consider your “must have’s” list before making an offer. There’s time to grab a pumpkin spice coffee, compare the properties you’ve visited, and focus in on the priority items that are important in your home journey.
If you’re the seller, there’s still a considerably quick pace you will want to mainatin to ensure your home is ready to be listed. Once listed, you’ll want to keep the home clean and shiney and be ready to accomodate potential buyers showings. Truthfully, the more effort you put in to keeping the home “sale ready” the higher the probability of receiving a timely offer. So, keep a dust rag, swiffer wet jet and vacuum at the ready to clean up any trouble spots before heading out the door, (sometimes at short notice), to offer potential buyers a private space to view your home.
Though we can’t guarantee a clean home will result in a quick sale, our experience tells us that an unkept property is most often the reason for a delay in receiving an offer.
Sincerely,
The Rosts
