If you’re thinking of making a move and are considering your options, you may wonder if you missed the best opportunity to buy since spring is generally the busiest season. While it’s true that the Spring Market is very active, the reality is that the Summer may actually be the best time to buy.
Why is that?
First, If you consider that many folks are now on summer holiday, and perhaps away somewhere enjoying the fresh air and freedom of a season without restrictions. That means there are less people buying so there’s less competition for the homes that are currently on the market. Given that it is still a seller’s market, (with more buyers than homes available), less competition means a better opportunity of closing on the home of your dreams.
Second, Homes that were listed in the spring but didn’t find the right buyer then, have now been on the market for the past couple of months. Often times these sellers are more inclined to negotiate on the purchase price, or may have recently dropped their list price.
Both of these factors make the Summer a great time to go house hunting. So, if you’re thinking of making a move, let’s grab a glass of ice-cold lemonade and have a chat. We’d love to help you find your next place.
Sincerely,
The Rosts
